Overview
We manufacture tubular and polygonal steel poles for transmission, sub-transmission and distribution lines, built to the utility's design and loading. Shafts are brake-formed from plate, seam-welded, fitted with base plates, arms and attachments, and hot-dip galvanized for long outdoor life.
Our capabilities
- 01Tapered polygonal poles: 8, 12 and 16-sided
- 02Transmission, distribution and substation poles
- 03Slip-joint and flange-joint sections
- 04Base-plated and direct-embed designs
- 05Anchor bolt cages and templates
- 06Cross-arms, davit arms, vangs and step bolts
- 07Longitudinal seam welding with weld NDT
- 08Hot-dip galvanizing or weathering steel

FAQs
Which standards are steel utility poles designed to?
Steel transmission poles are commonly designed to ASCE/SEI 48, or IS 802 for transmission line towers and poles, with loads set by the utility's specification for the wind zone and conductor of the line.
Galvanized or weathering steel: which is better for poles?
Hot-dip galvanizing to IS 4759 or ASTM A123 gives a uniform zinc coating suited to most environments. Weathering steel (ASTM A871) forms a protective patina without coating and is chosen where a natural brown finish is acceptable and the site is not continuously wet or salt-laden.
What is a slip joint?
A slip joint connects two tapered shaft sections by sliding one over the other. The overlap is typically at least 1.5 times the inside diameter of the female section, giving a strong connection without field welding or bolting.
Who manufactures the parts?
Everything is engineered and made in-house at our own plant. We are part of the Ferrokshar Group, in production since 1997.
Who do I deal with?
Our engineering team is your single point of contact, from quote to delivery and after-sales service.
