Which drawing files do you accept for laser cutting?
DXF and DWG files give the fastest quote. STEP files, PDFs and clear photos of a dimensioned sketch also work; our engineers will prepare the cutting file and send it to you for approval.
Do you take small laser cutting orders?
Yes. Single parts, prototypes and small batches are welcome. Very small orders may carry a minimum charge, which is always shown in the quote.
What is profile cutting?
Profile cutting means cutting flat shapes, such as brackets, flanges, base plates and blanks, out of sheet or plate to the outline on your drawing. We cut profiles by CNC fiber laser and can advise on the best process for heavier plate.
Can you cut material that I supply?
Yes, job work on customer-supplied sheet or plate is possible. Tell us the grade, sheet size and quantity, and we will confirm when you send the drawing.
Can the parts be bent, welded or coated after cutting?
Yes. Laser-cut parts can go straight on to press brake bending, welding, machining and powder coating in the same plant, so you receive finished parts from one supplier.
Do you do MS and SS laser cutting?
Yes. Mild steel (MS) and stainless steel (SS) are the materials we laser cut most, along with aluminium, GI and CRCA sheet. Tell us the grade and thickness and we will confirm the price and dispatch date.
How quickly will I get a price?
Send the drawing with material, thickness and quantity and we will reply with a price and a dispatch date. Complete details mean a faster, firmer quote.
